What is Shishu Vikas Yojana (SVY)?

Shishu Vikas Yojana (SVY) is a child welfare initiative that prepares a better tomorrow for every child through health cover, accident protection, life security for students, and scholarships from Class 5 up to higher education.

What plans does SVY offer and how much do they cost?

SVY offers two plans: the Regular Plan at ₹399 and the Premium Plan at ₹1,399. The Premium Plan gives 11 big benefits for 10 years with a total benefit value of ₹10 lakh+.

What is included in the SVY Premium Plan?

Annual benefit up to ₹500 every year (up to ₹5,000 over 10 years), ₹750 scholarship, up to ₹1,000 special financial support, higher education scholarship up to ₹5,00,000, health cover up to ₹50,000 in the first year and ₹25,000 a year after that, ₹1,00,000 accident cover each for the student, mother and father, ₹1,00,000 student term life cover, special and general scholarships, and DigiSeed membership.

How much is the Special Scholarship for Class 5 to 10?

The one-time Special Scholarship ranges from ₹900 to ₹5,000 depending on the class, for students of Class 5 to Class 10. Premium members above 10 years of age can also get a General Scholarship of ₹1,000 to ₹24,000.

How do I enroll my child in SVY?

Contact an authorised SVY agent, or fill the Join Us form as Parent / Student and an agent will contact you. Choose the Regular or Premium plan, submit the student's details and documents, and the SVY student ID card is issued after verification.

When is the ₹750 scholarship given in the Premium Plan?

The ₹750 scholarship is released 180 days after joining, as per the plan terms and conditions.

How much health cover is there and how many claims can I make?

Regular Plan: up to ₹25,000 a year. Premium Plan: up to ₹50,000 in the first year and up to ₹25,000 a year from the second year. Up to 6 claims can be made in a year, and non-hospitalization claims are covered up to ₹2,000 each.
